Version 1

A day has past with time that passed so sweet,
That I darn not consider stopping here
To take the time to think. I persevere.
I want the sweetness to remain complete,
Without a hint of anyone’s deceit.
If maybe I can built a large round sphere
Around my world I can then disappear,
And sweetness will stay mine and more concrete.

Of course that never works but I can dream
This dream and wish this wish and plan this scheme
So I can have more time before things change
Because given time it will turn out strange,
Then all the sweetness goes right up in smoke
And I will think this was one big sad joke.

Version 2

A day has past with time that passed so sweet,
That I darn not consider stopping here
To take the time to think. I persevere.
I want the sweetness to remain complete,
Without a hint of anyone’s deceit.
If maybe I can built a large round sphere
Around my world I can then disappear,
And sweetness will stay mine and more concrete.

Of course that never works but I can dream,
And if I dream long enough it will appear
To never leave my world of make believe.
Though this small world of mine might seem supreme
For moments of short time, it is too clear
To me, that it is me that I deceive.

Version 3

A day has past with time that passed so sweet,
That I darn not consider stopping here
To take the time to think. I persevere.
I want the sweetness to remain complete,
Without a hint of anyone’s deceit.
If maybe I can built a large round sphere
Around my world I can then disappear,
And sweetness will stay mine and more concrete.

Of course that never works but I can dream,
And if I dream long enough it will appear
Too never leave and I will be supreme,
But facts tell me it will all disappear.
So I will keep what I can keep as long
As I can now, and try to keep it strong.
