Sonnet for a Friend Mike

Sonnet for a Friend Mike

As I start my journey anew, I dream The steps I take now I wanted to share I needed a friend and someone to care I was so alone, to me it did seem Then you wandered in, the fates did now deem And opened your world for me if I dared You reached out to me and captured my heart I knew we would be friends from the very start Heaven only knows where this road will lead But I do know this, you are what I need And one thing I can tell you that is true Part of my heart does now belong to you Poem Style – Sonnet / Poem Catagory – Love Written by Lady Kathleen

Greed

Greed

Society of today full of greed Does teach our children lots, which is not good. They see the greed and they misunderstood. The base of greed is evil spawn indeed, They think that gold is what they need to heed To make a life of good.  But if I could Tell them today is it so bad, I would. I would tell them this path do not proceed. So turn away my children dears, and hear What I have said.  Do not let greed get near. Do not let greed get in your heart and soul For once it sticks and holds it will control Your life. Then you will be no good you see For evil will control the life of thee. Desert Beauty

Desert Beauty

The desert has a beauty all its own, A rustic scene of something to behold. As you look into what the winds have blown, Extend it further out, it does unfold. A sagebrush tumbles by unseen soft wind, And only stopping when the wind dies down. The sun has strong effects, as it can blind, But shaded eyes detect the wonders found. Where even though this rustic land is harsh, It pictures rustic colorful of scenes. The desert’s greenery is not the marsh, But dry and special kind of color green. So next, when you are at the desert skirt, Look passed, see more, than just a bunch of dirt. Poem Style – Sonnet / Poem Catagory – Nature Written by Lady...

Sonnet II: Loneliness

Sonnet II: Loneliness

In my own real small world of loneliness, Memories to reminisce and compare. Even though many are of happiness, There are many that only bring despair Some memories I would not change a thing, Where others I must take caution and care Like memories of play days in the spring Or when you confessed to me, your affair Only days ago I wanted an end To the nightmare of memories I see I was lonely when I lost my best friend I took something to make the end of me With one more memory of the near end, To come back to the lonely world I spend. Afterlife of Death

Afterlife of Death

For us in death is there an afterlife? Do we know what is on the other side? We ask these questions all the time in life But only answer it when we have died. It is up to each of us to decide If knowing answers now is what we need Or if we can live life and set aside The questions here and live and not concede Once we are dead and our sweet soul is freed We all have something we believe will be But it is not worth dying in great speed To answer questions, do you not agree? I think to be content to know this fact You will not know for sure with life intact. Poem Style – Sonnet / Poem Catagory – Other Written by Lady Kathleen

An Emotion

An Emotion

Emotions of my love for you do flow As if they are not under my control It makes me feel like my heart might be slow Or miss a beat at times while on patrol. I think, you know you have my heart and soul To have to hold or to toss right aside They are all yours to have, not half, but whole And in your heart, my heart and soul reside. So this is time for you to now decide If you do really want me to stay And love you with my heart and not to hide What I now feel or do I go away. My love for you will not be any less If I go, for I love you I confess. Poem Style – Sonnet / Poem Catagory – Love Written by Lady Kathleen
