My name is Catherine Patillo. I am researching the possible existence of a wife of third-class passenger Patrick Shaughnesay. The records I have seen indicate that Patrick died; however, I believe he survived and his wife, possibly named Shanina perished while trying to rescue third-class children trapped behind barricades. I also think that Patrick went on to revere his wife’s memory. They were from Ireland, but living in the United States. They were returning from a visit to Ireland when the Titanic went down.
