Emily Brown Goldsmith was my great Aunt. She was my grandfather’s sister.
She was aboard the Titanic along with her husband and 9 year old son. They were coming to Detroit to be with her parents and other family who had previously emigrated.
They were third class passengers. Emily and her son were on one of the last lifeboats to leave the ship; we believe they were on lifeboat collapsable C.
Her husband sadly perished.
I went to the Titanic Exhibit in Kansas City, Missouri yesterday. I was given a boarding pass for Emily Goldsmith at the beginning of the tour. I was pleased to learn that she survived the tragic accident.
