The interest in the Titanic is amazing. From the time I was a child, I was told the stories of how my Great Grandfather had gone down on this ship. Just an ordinary man, a steward, but tragity takes the great and the small.I know very little of my ancestry, only what my mother has told me, and a few pictures. I do know that his name was “House”, and he and his wife had a Pub. He took the cruses, I suppose to earn extra money. This cruse, he did not return from. I could probably write my mother and get information, such as his wife’s name, etc. Having lived my life in this country, I have only met or talked to 3 of my relatives from England, and Ireland. So my knowledge of their lives and history is minimal. Pete
About This Site
This website relates to the story of the Titanic. The Grand Ocean liner sank during its maiden journey on April 15, 1912. The death toll was 1523 of the 2228 passengers and crew members aboard. There were only 705 that survived. But there is more to the story of the Titanic than just the sinking. There is the connection people feel when they open their hearts to the event. Then there is also the Children of the Titanic, the people that are related to a person aboard the ship. In all reality anyone that feels connected in there heart to the Titanic somehow can be called a “Child of the Titanic”. So on that note! Welcome Aboard the Enchanted Titanic!
