{"id":628,"date":"2018-11-25T00:35:28","date_gmt":"2018-11-25T06:35:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ladykathleen.com\/?p=628"},"modified":"2019-02-25T20:40:25","modified_gmt":"2019-02-25T20:40:25","slug":"christmas-magic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ladykathleen.com\/poetry\/christmas-magic\/","title":{"rendered":"Christmas Magic"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"clear: both\"><\/div>\n<p>Every child probably knows, I wish I may,<br \/>\nI wish I might when they wish upon a star at night.<br \/>\nWouldn\u2019t it be great if everyone, in the world,<br \/>\nadults and children alike, believed with all their might?<\/p>\n<p>How magical it could be if wishes could come true<br \/>\nWe teach our children to wish upon a star<br \/>\nBut as adults, we grow old and cynical and believe no more<br \/>\nDay to day life steps in and stomps on that little star<\/p>\n<p>With the children grown and we are left all alone<br \/>\nWe start to feel down, and we see only doom and gloom<br \/>\nWe even start to think, what\u2019s the use, why go on.<\/p>\n<p>Suddenly something sparks<br \/>\nMaybe you make that secret wish<br \/>\nIt puts hope in your heart<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s sometime happens the last month of the year<br \/>\nAnd maybe it has something to do with Christmas is near<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Every child probably knows, I wish I may, I wish I might when they wish upon a star at night.
