{"id":428,"date":"2019-02-04T23:05:20","date_gmt":"2019-02-05T05:05:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ladykathleen.com\/?p=428"},"modified":"2019-02-25T19:59:02","modified_gmt":"2019-02-25T19:59:02","slug":"what-do-you-see-when-you-look-at-me","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ladykathleen.com\/poetry\/what-do-you-see-when-you-look-at-me\/","title":{"rendered":"What do you see when you look at me?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"clear: both\"><\/div>\n<p>In this world of mine as I watch it go by,<br \/>\nAll you want to know is who am I?<\/p>\n<p>Am I what everyone sees on the outside?<br \/>\nOr am I really hidden somewhere deep inside?<\/p>\n<p>There has been a big change happen in my life,<br \/>\nIt turned all around and I am no more his wife.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s been so many years since I have been alone,<br \/>\nBut now it is time, as my children are all grown.<\/p>\n<p>So who am I now, for the all the world to see?<br \/>\nAnd what do you see when you look at me?<\/p>\n<p>Do you see the scared woman, which sits all alone?<br \/>\nAs I ponder my life, not really knowing why it has gone.<\/p>\n<p>Can you see when the girl reaching for something in the night?<br \/>\nAs my bad dreams have given me such a horrible fright.<\/p>\n<p>Can you hear the loneliness in my voice once in a while?<br \/>\nOr am I able to cover it with a sweet little smile?<\/p>\n<p>Of course you don&#8217;t see that, as it is locked away,<br \/>\nHidden from your view each and everyday.<\/p>\n<p>So who am I now, for the all the world to see?<br \/>\nAnd what do you really see when you look at me?<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>Poem Style &#8211; Rhyme \/ Poem Catagory &#8211; Personal<br \/>\nWritten by Lady Kathleen<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In this world of mine as I watch it go by, All you want to know is who am I?
