\nI<\/p>\n

One fateful night a grand old ship was gone,
\nSo many lost their lives, not all were saved.
\nThe ship did sink before the morning dawn.<\/p>\n

The sea made over fifteen hundred graves
\nOn that so sad and fateful April night
\nAs that sharp iceberg the ship””s side did graze.<\/p>\n

The crew and captain tried with all their might
\nTo save as many people as they could.
\nIn only twenty lifeboats for their plight<\/p>\n

The captain ordered his crew, as he should,
\nThe women and the children first he cried
\nAnd making all men stay back where they stood.<\/p>\n

There were not near enough boats to provide
\nAll people room, so many had to die.<\/p>\n

II<\/p>\n

“I want every man to act like a man
\nFor manhood””s sake”, the captain did command
\nWith gun in hand and trouble now began.<\/p>\n

He finally called out his last demand,
\nThe captain did shout “Each man save himself.”
\nAt that last moment death was close at hand.<\/p>\n

A panic grew; all were to save themselves.
\nThe ship was sinking rapidly below
\nAnd soon would be a memory itself.<\/p>\n

The captain had one last gift to bestow
\nA child he saved from waters deep cold grave
\nThen he swam back to his ship like a pro<\/p>\n

The captain was a man so great and brave
\nFor his last act on earth was the child saved.<\/p>\n

III<\/p>\n

The ship “Titanic” was suppose to be
\nUnsinkable, but to the bottom it sank,
\nAnd leaving watery grave of debris.<\/p>\n

They say the ship was elegant and swank
\nA grand place with much grace and style, but
\nThe decks were all divided by class rank<\/p>\n

Top decks you might find them walk with a strut
\nWhile down below they might have been low class
\nThey still had parties like the upper cut.<\/p>\n

But all the grand and finery of brass
\nCould not have saved their lives back then that night
\nWhen this great ship went down and sunk at last.<\/p>\n

So as the band played on with death in sight
\nIn some small way they gave the final death rites.<\/p>\n
