From across the crowded room, I see him standing there, And no one else in the room can even compare, From what I can see he is handsome and debonair. He nods and he smiles, but he never says a thing, I look at his hands to see if he is wearing a ring. Suddenly my friends say it is time to go, And where did the man go, I do not know, Wasn’t he there just a few minutes ago? A few weeks go by, and I think of this man, To go back to this place is what I now plan. I wear my best dress to maybe catch his eye, As I see him at the door I suddenly get shy, He smiles and he nods, he makes my mood fly. I can’t say I don’t like my life, For that would be far from the truth. But there is one thing that bothers me so And that was the day, I lost all my teeth. It would not have been that bad, If during the whole span of last year, I didn’t cry all the time, from my despair, And I could have at least, worn some false teeth. Other than trying to eat, then could not, It greatly effected how I looked. I suddenly transformed from young woman, Into the old grandma without any teeth. The talking heads are incoherently babbling in the news all day, They do not share the facts of the news; they only shout “foul play”.   They try to shame the President Elect with silly and stupid stunts, They can’t see with stunts, it only makes them look like a dunce.   Maybe someday the talking heads will calm down, we can hope, As the fact he won the election, but he did not want to gloat.   Things will get better, if the talking heads would only give him a chance, As he was elected fair and square, which is not by mere happenstance.   The talking heads have been in shock since the election night, But it is about time to wake up and stop the madness you incite.
