Rebecca, my dear sweet daughter,
Even though now we live apart,
I care come hell or high water,
I do love you with all my heart
You made me a young grandmother,
With three grandchildren of fine art,
Which I wish I could hold and smother.
I do love you with all my heart
Though we’re apart and I miss you,
You will always be in my heart.
What I say to you now is true,

You my one child of September,
With these few words I do impart,
And I want you to remember,
