To My Son

jon_army

I miss you, my son, when you are so far away in the overseas land.
I miss you, my son, when you are so far away in the overseas land.
Even though you are grown up now I still miss you being around.
Even though you are grown up now I still miss you being around.
You are grown up, though you are so far away in the overseas land.
Now my son, I still miss you being around, even when I miss you.

I am very proud of you, my son, as you defend us here at home.
I am very proud of you, my son, as you defend us here at home.
While your fighting to keep us safe, I am your mother and worry so.
While your fighting to keep us safe, I am your mother and worry so.
As your mother I worry while your fighting to keep us safe,
And you defend us here at home, my son, I am so very proud of you

So as you go to sleep tonight, remember my words with love,
So as you go to sleep tonight, remember my words with love,
“I love you and miss you with all my heart and may it keep you safe.”
“I love you and miss you with all my heart and may it keep you safe.”
So with all my heart go to sleep tonight and you remember my words
As it may keep you safe, with love, “I love you and miss you.”

With all my heart I miss you, my son and I am very proud of you,
Even though you are grown up now you are so far away in the overseas land,
When you’re fighting to keep us safe as you defend us here at home.
While worry so, I am your mother, my son, as I still miss you being around,
Remember my words with love as you go to sleep tonight,
And may it keep you safe, “I miss you and love you.”

Love from the Ashes

katspic

If you can feel what is my heart right now,
You would know why I make this new vow.
Our love almost ended on that one fateful night,
When when I tried to end it all, which gave you a fright.

You saved my life with your love that was so strong,
You heard my cry for help, even in your sleep song.
You showed what I thought we had lost, the true love we shared,
Which was lost for a time, but found it had flared.

The true love we have is not only physical and showing,
But a love that continues its swelling and growing.
Mere words can never express, this greater love I vow on my life,
So much more than the vow, that made me your wife.

The word love can never come close to express,
What I feel for you and must now profess.
In the heart of all hearts and the soul of all souls
The vow I give now and the promise within it controls

I give you the vow of life and deepest love,
I send to you on the wings of a dove.

The Night of Escape

A night of great horror but where I did win,
A horror so great it would make your head spin.
Can you picture this, your sound a sleep in your bedroom,
Only to wake with a stranger over you he did loom.

You feel a tightness of hands at your throat,
With a wicked grin, he did gloat.
Your not alone in the house for there is a baby about,
Now your so scared you can’t even shout.

Now he speaks almost with glee,
He tells you how he wants it to be.
Do as I say now and the baby I will bring no harm,
All I could think was how to disarm?

It was certainly clear he intended to rape,
And with the baby in danger, there was no escape.
My only defence was my hopefully cleverness,
To get me and my baby out of this mess.

I could not turn my head to see what’s the time,
so I took a chance and proclaimed without any rhyme.
Oh my lord, I hope it not close to four,
For you will have my husband to contend with and more.

Not knowing the time and no husband to boot,
Did I now take the right route?
Suddenly now the tables did turn,
And the man’s face did show great concern.

I tried to stay as calm as I could,
As I planted more seeds which he understood.
The pictures I planted into this guys mind,
Was that of a husband and his bones he would grind.

I could see a new change in this guys mind,
It was him now that felt so confined.
He tried to still sound strong and tough,
But he could not get out of here fast enough.

As he quickly left out of this place,
I glanced at the clock face.
Ten minutes to four is what it now showed,
All I could feel now was relief as it flowed.

Now you may think this guy that did flee,
might have got off totally scott free.
But later that week I did find and see him,
at another apartment with his girlfriend.

I waited my time until she was one,
Then I told her the all he had done.
Now here is a small twist of my little piece,
It was not me but her, that called the police.

When Love Dies a Terrible Death

You might as well have shot me,
That would have been kinder,
Than what you did to me.

How could you leave my bed,
To go sleep with a child?
You’re own flesh and blood!

There is no way I want to mend,
The broken life you gave.
You can keep your lies and deceit.

How could you leave my bed,
To go sleep with a child?
You’re own flesh and blood!

I know now, I made a mistake,
In trusting your love.
After all I was your wife.

How could you leave my bed,
To go sleep with a child?
You’re own flesh and blood!

The love I thought I had,
Died a terrible death.
I never want you back!!!

So you can see now,
This is what happens,
When love dies a terrible death

From Wings of Angels

As we sit up above the clouds, just pondering love,
We feel your heart string reaching out to ours, with a tug.
Your heart string is so strong, because it is filled with some pain.
Let us help you to deal with the all of your strain.

We let our thoughts glide gently down to you now,
Slowly softly so to not scare you somehow.
Our thoughts of pure love we send to you, to embrace,
This is something you feel, like a breeze upon your face.
You might not know at this time, what the world holds for you,
So we send you our love, for your heart to hold onto.
We touch your tender cheek, ever so soft as you sleep,
So your heart does not feel so heavy and deep.
We whisper sweet words, gently into your ear,
To let you know we are not far, because we are near.

As we sit up above the clouds, just pondering love,
We feel your heart string reaching out to ours, with a tug.
Your heart string is so strong, because it is filled with some pain.
Let us help you to deal with the all of your strain.

Royal Family

I remember Mom and the stories she told.
The best was the one at the young age of nine.
In the family tree of Queens and Kings.
Mom said, “You are from a Royal Blood Line.

Before she can start I would say with excite.
Tell me the story of castles and things.
Mom said, “You are from a Royal Blood Line.
In the family tree of Queens and Kings.

Tell me some more, for I want to believe.
That this really could be mine.
In the family tree of Queens and Kings.
Mom said, “You are from a Royal Blood Line.

As I drift off to sleep that night,
I hear her voice as it sings.
Mom said, “You are from a Royal Blood Line.
In the family tree of Queens and Kings.

Good Grade

Today I start a new class,
With dreams to be able to pass.
If I listen intently,
And study very hard.
I’ll be glad that I stayed
And manage to get a good grade,

Now the assignments come in.
At the end of the week, there’s a quiz.
I worked on my poem all night,
And somehow it didn’t sound right.

I call out to the teacher and said,
I fear somethings wrong with this poem
Cause I’m taking to long,
To figure out what I did wrong.

All the teacher did was chuckle and say,
Take a look once again after some sleep.
So I took a short nap,
And woke up in a zap.

I was so surprised when I did look again.
For the answer was there all the time.
