In search of the Mystery

I search the area like a detective of sorts,
Not the kind of the all mighty courts.
A clue here a clue there of the emotions she rides,
The hardest to detect is those feeling she hides.

Don’t push to hard for the emotion to show,
For pushing to hard would make me a foe.
I sit and watch as the world goes up then goes down,
When all I want is smiles but I see another frown.

I catch another glimpse of a emotion or two,
I give you a hug which might help give you clue.
Searching for clues is not all that I do,
I teach what I can to the student that’s new.

Of course you will find many hats that I wear,
Being a judge is hardest for me I can swear.
I’m also a cop to protect you through time,
Also a maid to clean up that old grime.

Doctor and Lawyer I can be when you need,
Can also be a muse that planted that seed.
With all of my jobs in this world I do hold,
a Mystery now I would like to unfold.

Who in this world could this person be?
I am MOM can’t you see?

Moments Ago

What.. No.. How could this be true?
I feel my life just went a skew.
Oh Heaven, make it not so,
This is more then I ever wanted to know.

Oh tell me now, how do I go on?
Where once there was trust and now it is gone.
I feel so betrayed, in my heart, by this deal,
This a fact, that I can not now conceal.

Make my world stop, beg and I plea.
My brains gone to mush, all that is left is debris
I am numb from my head and down to my toe,
For my world crashed down only moments ago.

In this world of long ago

In this world of long ago,
There were Kings, Queens and Dragons you know.
This is a world with magic abound,
And Knights that carried great swords around.

In castles we built with halls echoing with sound,
And on the occasion a dragon would burn it to the ground.
The Wizards cast spells which might brighten the night,
While the Knights would ride into battle with all their might.

With Maidens dressed up in their grand dresses and hats.
The Jester makes jokes as his belly he rubs while at his head he pats.
While this you might think is a fantasy tale,
Can’t you hear me ask for the mead or at least pass the ale?

Love from the Ashes

katspic

If you can feel what is my heart right now,
You would know why I make this new vow.
Our love almost ended on that one fateful night,
When when I tried to end it all, which gave you a fright.

You saved my life with your love that was so strong,
You heard my cry for help, even in your sleep song.
You showed what I thought we had lost, the true love we shared,
Which was lost for a time, but found it had flared.

The true love we have is not only physical and showing,
But a love that continues its swelling and growing.
Mere words can never express, this greater love I vow on my life,
So much more than the vow, that made me your wife.

The word love can never come close to express,
What I feel for you and must now profess.
In the heart of all hearts and the soul of all souls
The vow I give now and the promise within it controls

I give you the vow of life and deepest love,
I send to you on the wings of a dove.

I Believe You

Yes my dear child, I believe in all that you say,
I am here to protect you from the “come what may”.
Your heart and soul was hurt from an unseen place,
But I am here now to wipe the tears from your face.

I know you could not tell me what scared you so bad,
Your dealing with it alone is what makes me so sad.
Know this my child and remember it well,
I know now and will protect you from that hell.

I wish I could take away the pain that you have had,
The best I can do now is to protect you from the bad.
Believe me when I say that the fault was not yours,
From what happened behind the closed doors.

Yes my dear child, I believe in all that you say,
I am here to protect you from the “come what may”.

From this Moment

From the moment I saw you I loved you and my heart flew.
We have had our ups and downs and I thank god the downs have been few.
Recently we have lived through one of the worst downs in our life together.
I felt for the brief moments my life felt cold as arctics winters weather.

I could spend my days cursing the downs we have had,
But without them both, how would we know the good from bad?
I have always said you are the mate of my soul,
And you have my heart in parts and in whole.

From the ashes of what was driving us apart,
comes the love I have for you that totally fills my heart.

You light up our night

You light up our night with your stem and your wax,
Many sit and watch your flame to help them relax.
Though out time you have been fat as well as a bit thin,
So Short and very tall is also what you have been.

When you are lit you have a tendency to drip,
But mostly when someone has helped you with a tip.
When all can see your dancing little flame,
I am melting, I am melting, is what you will claim.

Over time when used you do get quite small,
But during your life you brighten the hall.
A rainbow of colors of the world you can be,
But you light up our night, so that we can see.

Titanic

 Nineteen-Twelve is the yesteryear,
Upon a grand ship filled with cheer.
The upper class passengers had the finest of fine,
In rooms so adorned you might think them a shrine.

As they wander the grand ship from stem to stern,
No one knew there would be cause for concern.
How did they know this grand ship’s hull would be sliced,
Like a knife through soft butter, a big chunk of ice.

It was a night the world remembers and never to forget,
There were not enough lifeboats, which was cause for regret.
The Captain did shout, ‘Women and children first’,
Before the grand ship was submersed.

“Be British, my men.” was the last orders to that brave crew,
Bringing order out of chaos like he was saying adieu.
The Captain’s final act was that of heroism and ever so brave,
The life of a drowning baby he did save.

This is the true story of the so called “unsinkable ship”,
The fate of the Titanic’s maiden trip.

A Time to Remember

I am sitting at grandmas as I do recalled,
Watching a movie, “A Time to Remember” so it was called.
Grandma says, “Looks like a great picture show”.
I rabble on to her, about it fascinated me so

My Grandma leans over, as if to conspire
“If you think that’s neat, I have something you might admire”
I slowly follow her down thought that creepy old basement decor,
Where she opens an old trunk, full of albums, photos and more.

“Let’s see, and hmm where is it?” she does seem to muse,
She made me almost feel like a spy, looking for clues,
Gentle hands shake as she pulls an old velvet album from that old chest,
She flips the pages mumbling about family and how they were dressed.

When she suddenly stops and slowly turns the old album towards me,
She says ever secretive and low, “This is the one, that I want you to see”
The photo was of a small group of people, of which some faces I did know.
She whispers, “Do you know who this is? I shook my head no.

You’re Great Uncle Smith, a great Captain you see,
He was the real Captain of great ship that was lost out at sea.
I was shocked and amazed, and could not utter a word,
Is this real? Did I really hear what I heard?

Ode to our Muse: Kevin

There are famous muses of old,
They are goddesses I am told.
Even though these ladies can be much to inspire,
There is one more that you desire.

He gives you this place,
For you to embrace.
To let your emotions show
With the gifts you bestow.

This man who has earned our regard,
On this place he has worked very hard.
So please join me in my call,
“Kevin is the muse for us all”
