My Mother

Mom and Me

One of the best pictures of just Mom and ME

My Mother

Thank goodness I have the mother I have because you see,
I don’t think any other mother would have put up with me.

When I was young before I was one I had a tumor in my eye,
The doctors told my mom “now don’t let her cry”,
If I had cried I would have totally lost my sight,
But thanks to my Mother I can see alright.

When I was a teen I was invited to my first prom,
I was outfitted like a princess all thanks to my Mom.

When I grew older and had kids of my own,
And it seemed trouble times were blown,
And when all seemed lost – it was mom I could call,
She would make me feel loved like when I was small.

Now that I am older and my kids are all gone,
It is mom that I call in the morning dawn.

I don’t think any mother could have loved me more,
And Mom are the person I love and adore.

Reflections of the Past

It was a desperate time when despair was consuming,
It seemed as nothing in the world was real.
Only a short time before most everything seemed good.
Then everything in the whole world lost its appeal.

To explain how one can cause extreme pain to another
with only a few words would be fruitless indeed.
So know this, at one point in my life this did happen to me
Then my mind, at that moment, could do nothing but concede.

To concede, to give up, to loose control of one’s mind
To feel lost in a world, to be so alone, to feel empty inside.
These are all things that bring about the final despair,
With only one thought, wanting the pain to subside.

Some go past the point, where it is all in the mind,
That is what I did, but thanks to my son I am not dead.
For it was his voice I heard, from half way around the world,
I love you Mom, don’t leave Me., is all he said.

Royal Family

I remember Mom and the stories she told.
The best was the one at the young age of nine.
In the family tree of Queens and Kings.
Mom said, “You are from a Royal Blood Line.

Before she can start I would say with excite.
Tell me the story of castles and things.
Mom said, “You are from a Royal Blood Line.
In the family tree of Queens and Kings.

Tell me some more, for I want to believe.
That this really could be mine.
In the family tree of Queens and Kings.
Mom said, “You are from a Royal Blood Line.

As I drift off to sleep that night,
I hear her voice as it sings.
Mom said, “You are from a Royal Blood Line.
In the family tree of Queens and Kings.

In search of the Mystery

I search the area like a detective of sorts,
Not the kind of the all mighty courts.
A clue here a clue there of the emotions she rides,
The hardest to detect is those feeling she hides.

Don’t push to hard for the emotion to show,
For pushing to hard would make me a foe.
I sit and watch as the world goes up then goes down,
When all I want is smiles but I see another frown.

I catch another glimpse of a emotion or two,
I give you a hug which might help give you clue.
Searching for clues is not all that I do,
I teach what I can to the student that’s new.

Of course you will find many hats that I wear,
Being a judge is hardest for me I can swear.
I’m also a cop to protect you through time,
Also a maid to clean up that old grime.

Doctor and Lawyer I can be when you need,
Can also be a muse that planted that seed.
With all of my jobs in this world I do hold,
a Mystery now I would like to unfold.

Who in this world could this person be?
I am MOM can’t you see?
