Cherished Moments

Special day full of emotions we two share.
Memories of a time that can never be replaced
Past treasures, cherished moments beyond compare.

The bride surprises the groom*s heart with flair,
Arriving in a horse drawn carriage — slow pace.
Special day full of emotions we two share.

The carriage master did not stop at the square,
But around the sunken garden he did trace.
Past treasures, cherished moments beyond compare.

Soft music in the background playing “I Swear.”
Enchanted gardens full of springtime and grace.
Special day full of emotions we two share.

Him handsomely and in black, Her standing there,
White and flowing dress made of pearls and soft lace.
Past treasures, cherished moments beyond compare.

In front of the crowd, we do vow and declare,
Most romantic moment at this time and place.
Special day full of emotions we two share.
Past treasures, cherished moments, beyond compare.

You still have all of me

tears1
We made our vows the day we wed,
You unlocked my heart with a key.
A heart is broke; a tear is shed,
My Love, you still have all of me.

It did not happen in a night,
This vow was broke in small degrees.
Even though it might not seem right,
My Love, you still have all of me.

I tried to do my very best,
But you had a need to be free.
Even after, I must attest,
My Love, you still have all of me.

I see small things you try to hide,
If I were blind and could not see,
Then my broken heart might subside.
My Love, you still have all of me.

With my heart broken to excess,
My vow is still your guarantee
That my heart is true. I confess,
My Love, you still have all of me.

Themis – The Goddess

themis2

I, Themis, goddess known of earth and law,
Dispensing justice most divine. Again,
Am here to tell my story with some awe.

My parents, Earth and Heaven they do reign,
Uranus ruled the Heavens but not Earth,
But Gaea ruled the Earth as her domain.

My mother shared the earth with me at birth,
But I excelled in justice in my time,
And this is what is known as my “life’s worth”

An inescapable goddess that to whom
The gods must even yield to and submit,
As my wise words were always, so sublime.

As Delphi Oracle too, Zeus admits,
I make a trusted new advisor now,
So at the side of Zeus is where I sit.

The mortals I gave laws and that allows
A peace to reign in my beloved mankind,
So evil would not rule or be aroused.

The fates and seasons now come into mind,
And I tell you now they are gods and more,
But are my children too and so refined.

The fates they deal mankind’s life and deaths door,
as well as, ones true lot in life will be,
But seasons there are three instead of four.

I have more children so let me now see,
Hesperides the nymphs did watch fruit grow.
Enough about them, lets talk more on me.

You say you built a statue to bestow
My role as goddess? Look the scales I hold
For weighing claims of parties now opposed.

My tale is done, as gifts I now behold.

————–
Written as if she was telling her own story in a way that a goddess would.

Forever Blind

Carnevale

They say that love is blind, so let me be
The blind I used to be before I knew.
I would like to be blind and not to see
Then I could have your love like it was new.

Forever blind is what I wish to do
To not know hurt I now must bear each day
I know you love me and I still love you,
But let the pain be gone is what I pray.

Know this, I do not wish to go away
It is just hard to deal with all the pain
So please try to bear with me when I say
I feel I was hit by some passing train.

So from this world of hurt I tried to leave,
The pain I was then, trying to relieve.

Soulmate

You have my love, my life, my body, my soul
Completeing my world with each tender kiss
You have my every being not in part, but as a whole
When I’m with you I feel a heavenly bliss

Completeing my world with each tender kiss
With your arms around me is sweet ecstasy
When I’m with you I feel a heavenly bliss
This is for real and not some fantasy

With your arms around me is sweet ecstasy
The feelings we share I will treasure all my life
This is for real and not some fantasy
For we are soul mates and I’m also your wife

The feelings we share I will treasure all my life
You have my every being not in part, but as a whole
For we are soul mates and I’m also your wife
You have my love, my life, my body, my soul

Passion

My heart had such passion for you
My heart had such passion for you
And I cherish the moments we share
And I cherish the moments we share
Share my moments had for such passion
We Cherish the heart for you and I

You have my heart and soul
You have my heart and soul
Life without your love I could not bear
Life without your love I could not bear
Your heart and love I have
Could you not bear my soul without life?

You are my every moment
You are my every moment
With each breath I take
With each breath I take
Take each moment with you
I have my every breath

We have moments I cherish
I share the breath
For you are life
And I could bear not your soul without such love
My heart? You take my heart
Each and every moment with you I had my passion

Sweet Love

Sweet love of mine is gone I now can see
The thing is I do not know how it went
Away so fast like coins you have just spent
Sweet love of mine is gone I should feel free
But I feel like a cat caught in a tree.
Or like my feet are covered in cement
And there can be no way I am content
Sweet love of mine is gone away from me.

I wonder if it will return some day,
I feel it may if I do hope and pray.
If I do not dwell on the past so hard,
On how sweet love of mine was burnt and charred
It may come back to me again anew
And be sweet love again for me and you.

Ode to the Titanic

titanic1a
I

One fateful night a grand old ship was gone,
So many lost their lives, not all were saved.
The ship did sink before the morning dawn.

The sea made over fifteen hundred graves
On that so sad and fateful April night
As that sharp iceberg the ship”’’s side did graze.

The crew and captain tried with all their might
To save as many people as they could.
In only twenty lifeboats for their plight

The captain ordered his crew, as he should,
The women and the children first he cried
And making all men stay back where they stood.

There were not near enough boats to provide
All people room, so many had to die.

II

“I want every man to act like a man
For manhood”’’s sake”, the captain did command
With gun in hand and trouble now began.

He finally called out his last demand,
The captain did shout “Each man save himself.”
At that last moment death was close at hand.

A panic grew; all were to save themselves.
The ship was sinking rapidly below
And soon would be a memory itself.

The captain had one last gift to bestow
A child he saved from waters deep cold grave
Then he swam back to his ship like a pro

The captain was a man so great and brave
For his last act on earth was the child saved.

III

The ship “Titanic” was suppose to be
Unsinkable, but to the bottom it sank,
And leaving watery grave of debris.

They say the ship was elegant and swank
A grand place with much grace and style, but
The decks were all divided by class rank

Top decks you might find them walk with a strut
While down below they might have been low class
They still had parties like the upper cut.

But all the grand and finery of brass
Could not have saved their lives back then that night
When this great ship went down and sunk at last.

So as the band played on with death in sight
In some small way they gave the final death rites.
