| I
The world outside my realm is strange to me. I give you my sincere apologies, It did not happen fast, it was not planned, I am in prison but not for a crime Shut in my house is where I am confined. II I do have contact with the world outside I do admit, with care, I can go see So outside my house I can not relate My world is not too bad I will admit But I have family to see me through. III As you can maybe see, my shut in life So over years, I have become engrossed My family is totally aware And when I take a step outside my shell But for now in my world I am content.

I liked this poem. I’ve known people that could relate to at least parts of what you describe at some point in their lives. You describe it from a personal viewpoint so well (not everyone has family to help them through such times alas, but they find other things to focus on).
Au revoir, Shosanna.
