Meiko is the story of how a young Japanese woman, who is trafficked when her father cannot pay a debt, is able to rise above this experience to become the first woman Prime Minister of Japan. It is based on the Jungian concepts of individuation, as described by Clarissa Pinkola Estes after the story “Vasalisa the Wise” in _Women Who Run with the Wolves_. You obviously know all of this … It’s nice to find a kindred spirit!
